Getting started
From app open to round one.
How do I start a workout?
Open Boxerium and tap Quick Start for the classic timer — set rounds, round length, rest, and metronome, then press play. The defaults match standard boxing (12 × 3:00 with 60s rest).
How do I build and save a custom workout?
Use the Workout Builder to set up a session round-by-round — different combos, work times, rest, and intervals per round — then save and favourite it for one-tap start. There's a full walkthrough in the feature guide.
Combos & audio
How do spoken combo callouts work?
Add combos to a round and Boxerium speaks them out loud at the interval you set. By default it picks them at random (weighted), so you can't memorize the order — you listen, decode, and throw.
Can it call combos by number (1-2-3)?
Yes. Turn on "Number callouts" in Settings and type combos like "1-2-3" — Boxerium speaks "one two three". Numbers map to the standard system (1 = jab, 2 = cross, 3 = lead hook, and so on).
The voice sounds robotic — can I change it?
It uses your device's built-in voices. In Settings → Callout voice, try "Samantha" or "Daniel" — they read boxing terms more naturally than most. You can also adjust the bell, warning, metronome, and per-sound volumes.
What are the advanced rhythm tools?
Turn on Advanced tools in Settings to unlock the Combo Clap (beat-mapped rhythm training), Sequence Mode (ordered combo loops), and per-combo weighting. See the Advanced Tools section of the guide.
Billing & ads
Is Boxerium really free?
Yes. The app is free with a single banner ad. No features are locked behind it. If the banner bothers you, you can subscribe to Remove Ads from the app's Settings.
How do I manage or cancel Remove Ads?
Manage it through your platform's subscription settings — on iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android: Play Store → Account → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
How do refunds work?
Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. Request a refund through Apple's Report a Problem page or the Google Play refund process.
Privacy & devices
Does it work without internet?
Yes — everything runs on-device. The only thing that needs internet is the ad; if you've removed ads, Boxerium makes no network requests.
How is my data handled? How do I delete it?
There are no accounts — your workouts and settings are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes them. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
What devices does Boxerium run on?
It's on iPhone (iOS 15.5 or later) and Android. Grab it on the App Store or Google Play.
